First, let's take a look at what it means to upsell; upselling is getting a person to add on to an order that they originally were not planning on adding. Here are some examples you can try out on your shift today. ![]() "Would you like to make that Chick-Fil-A sandwich a meal today" "I know you're heading back to work, would you like to add on a 6-Count Cookie to take back to work with you" "Would you like to make your drink a frosted lemonade today" "Would you care to add on a warm Chocolate Chuck Cookie to your order" "Would you like to make your meal large today" These are just a few different ideas you could use to help you upsell with our guests today. Its important to remember when upselling that you're spending with someone else wallet. Most of our guest don't realize they want something until you offer it to them.
Another great way to upsell is showing off the item you are trying to sell to them. For example; take the 6-Count cookie off the drink tower and show it to the guest. They are more likely to buy the cookies when they can see what they are getting. You are do the same thing with upselling large drinks, show them the size of the cup they will be getting.
