![]() Emotional Connections are a big part of our 2nd mile service. Being able to connect with our guest on a more personal level helps us build them up to being our raving fans. We wanted to highlight a wonderful example of an emotional connection we had this past week with one of our dining room hostesses Diana. 'Diana was working in the dining room and stopped to check in on one of our guest who happened to be a mom with her daughter. While talking with her, Diana learned that they were going to visit the guest mother. The guest informed her that her mother was dying of cancer and isn't going to be with them much longer. Our guest was so sad that her daughter is going to grow up without a grandmother. Diana looked at her and said "No she wont. I'll be her grandmother". The mother was so shocked that some one she had just met would offer such a thing. Diana went on to tell her about our Wednesday Mommy & Me and invited her to come back and see her again.' It goes to show you, when we connect with our guest and go that extra mile with them, we can really make an incredible impression in their lives. Its not always about giving away free food. Its about showing our guest how much we truly care for them. So lets remember to try to have a emotional connection with everyone of our guest! (Even the not so nice ones.)
