Hello, Team, today is Thursday May 7th. Today we will be focusing on the third part of The Core Four; Speak with an Enthusiastic Tone! What does it mean to speak with an enthusiastic tone? Think about someone who was super excited about some topic and there you go! The person is passionate about what they are discussing. That is an example of an enthusiastic tone. When we speak with our guests, whether we are taking their order or doing a table touching, we should also speak with a tone that says "I'm so happy I get to talk to you".
Why do we have guests that become raving fans of our Chick-Fil-A? Because when we speak with them, we use a tone that shows excitement!  They see that we are happy to see them. Think about this for a moment. Which kind of person would you want to have a conversation with; someone who sounds bored out of their mind, or someone who seems genuinely excited? If you picked the bored one.....well boring people also need someone to listen to them too!

To give you a clearer picture of what an enthusiastic tone is, here is a video of Alex on headset speaking to one of our guests.

This is an excellent example of speaking with an enthusiastic tone. Whoever is on the headset doesn't get to use the first two parts of The Core Four since the guest cannot see them. So it's even more important for them to focus on this part of The Core Four. So let's all try to remember to speak with an enthusiastic tone with all of our guests today. Have a great shift!
